  Jean Charles-de Castelbajac was born in Morocco
   in 1949. He grew up in a Military boarding school.
    His first collection was surrounded by the mundane
   objects of his school days.
   He loves to re-introduce his childhood days by using
   cartoon characters such as......
   The Muppets, The Little Prince, Teddy Bears,
   Donald Duck, Snoopy and more in his collections

   Besides using cartoons in his collections  
   Jean Charles-de Castelbajac creates
   ostentatious designs using bright pop colours from 
   the 70's and 80's 
   He dressed Farrah Fawcett for iconic TV. series
   Charlies Angels. He also collaborated with Mick Jagger
   and Elton John
   He was fascinated by the work of designer and lover
   of Bridgett Bardot
                           Castelbajac with singer Rihanna
'I survived because of my imagination. I was a dreamer.
 Every night in those mortifying dormitories I imagined
 being a conquistador in the Amazon, or being a dad.
 I was always somewhere other than where I actually was"
